Possessive Adjectives

Introduction:

Possessive adjectives are used to show ownership or possession. They come before a noun and tell us who something belongs to.

The main possessive adjectives are:

  • My — belonging to me
  • Your — belonging to you (singular and plural)
  • His — belonging to him
  • Her — belonging to her
  • Its — belonging to it
  • Our — belonging to us
  • Their — belonging to them

Examples:
– This is my book.
– Is this your pen?
– Their house is big.
