Introduction:

The present simple tense is used to describe habitual actions, general truths, and facts. Affirmative sentences in the present simple usually follow the structure:

Subject + base verb (for I/you/we/they) / verb + -s/-es (for he/she/it)

For example:

  • She works in a bank.
  • They play football on weekends.
