Present Simple: Negative Sentences

Introduction:

The present simple tense negative form is used to say that something does not happen regularly or a fact is not true.

The structure is:
Subject + do/does + not + base verb

For example:

  • I do not (don’t) like coffee.
  • He does not (doesn’t) play football.
  • We do not (don’t) work on Sundays.
